Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority seeks an Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic for the Buffalo Narrows Health Centre. This part-time regular position (FTE 0.67) covers days, weekends, and standby shifts, with EMS hours and a 100-hour rotation every four weeks.

The role provides Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation in line with provincial protocols. Preference for HSAS union members and eligibility with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 4 driver's license.
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level.
• ITLS, PCP Level and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergent and non-emergent calls and provide ALS, initial assessment, treatment and transport.
• Operate under Saskatchewan Ambulance Act, Regulations and SHA policies.

Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible to respond to the emergent and non-emergent calls for service and for providing Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Emergency Health Services Basic and Advance Life Support Protocols, and Saskatchewan Health Authority Policies. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
