Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The RN will deliver autonomous, high-quality care to ED patients, following Ontario standards, and work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree, current CNON certification, and emergency/critical care experience within the last five years. ACLS certification is preferred, with ENCC/TNCC considerations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• Current certification in ACLS preferred.
• Emergency experience within last 5 years preferred.
• Coronary 1 required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive autonomous nursing care to ED patients with varying stability.
• Promote health, prevent illness, and help patients attain optimal health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver timely care.
