EMC Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified EMC Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests on electronic devices designed for railway signaling systems according to industry standards.
- Conduct environmental qualification tests such as temperature, humidity, shock, and vibration on electronic devices for railway signaling systems.
- Familiar with railway (or similar industry) EMC and environmental standards, including EN 61000 series, EN 50121 series, EN 50125, EN 50155, FCC, AREMA, MIL standards, etc.
- Have knowledge of grounding, shielding, surge protection, and other basic EMC concepts.
- Operate hardware test equipment and simulators used in hardware qualification testing.
- Participate in troubleshooting EMC tests and provide measurements and technical details to the design team.
- Prepare EMC documentation such as Control Plans, Compatibility Studies, Hazard Analyses, and Test Reports for customer acceptance.
- Develop hardware environmental qualification plans and reports, providing feedback on requirements and approaches.
- Lead subcontractors in EMC site measurements according to customer requirements.
- Participate in ISA (International Standards on Auditing) committee audits related to EMC and environmental standards.
- Knowledge of fire, smoke, and toxicity standards like EN 45545 and NFPA 130 is an asset.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, and verification processes per CENELEC standards.
- Assist in developing and mentoring junior team members.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong EMC testing experience.
- Excellent knowledge of EMC concepts including cabling, grounding, and surge protection.
- Ability to operate EMC measurement tools.
