Varsity Tutors is seeking a Competition Math Tutor to work remotely with students nationwide on our Live Learning Platform. You’ll deliver individualized online instruction, adapt to student needs, and help them master number theory and combinatorics through contest-focused problems.

You set your hours, invoice for sessions, and earn competitive pay with flexible scheduling and AI-assisted teaching tools. Prior competition math experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Advanced mastery in number theory, combinatorics, module arithmetic, and problem-solving techniques for contest math.
• Ability to explain heuristics, proofs, and strategies for non-routine competition problems.
• Experience tutoring competition math (AMC/MATHCOUNTS/AIME) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring via the Varsity Tutors platform.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests and manage tutoring sessions.
