Job summary

KONE Canada in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Field Installation / Modernization Mechanic to join our team. You will analyze, troubleshoot and install elevator systems, coordinate with subcontractors and contractors, and help keep projects on schedule while prioritizing safety.

This evergreen requisition reviews candidates as openings arise. The role requires TSBC Class A License, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to travel up to 95%.

Qualifications

• Must obtain or hold a TSBC Class A License.
• Speak and write clearly for internal and external communications.
• Requires high concentration and attention to intermittently wire, install, maintain and update elevator equipment.
• Physical demands: walking/standing ~80%, lifting up to 100 lbs, travel up to 95%.
• Manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install elevator equipment including rails, pits, hoist-way, car and counterweight assemblies.
• Wire and install smaller components (rollers, door track, linkages, hall buttons).
• Adhere to safety standards and policies; support site safety on every job.
