Elevator Services Group is seeking experienced Elevator Mechanics for new installation, modernization, and maintenance work in Calgary. The ideal candidate will install, repair and modernize elevators while ensuring compliance with safety codes and project specifications.

Candidates must hold EDMA/EDMT Class A or T and have 4–5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, record-keeping, and coordinating with managers, contractors, and clients.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Elevator Mechanic with EDMA/ EDMT Class A or T.
  • 4–5 years of experience in elevator installation, repair, maintenance and modernization.
  • Completed elevator apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprints and safety codes.
  • Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and modernize elevator systems and components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety codes
  • Diagnose issues and perform adjustments or part replacements
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
  • Respond to emergency service calls, including being on-call during off-hours
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients on job status and requirements

We are currently seeking experienced and licensedElevator Mechanics for our growing established client. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of a wide variety of vertical transportation equipment, including elevators, escalators, and lifts.Candidates must meet the specific licensing requirements for the locations in which they intend to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, repair, and modernize elevator systems and components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment complies with local, state, and federal safety codes
  • Diagnose issues and perform necessary adjustments or part replacements
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
  • Respond to emergency service calls, including being on-call during off-hours
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients on job status and requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and tools (up to 75 lbs)
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
  • Comfortable working at various heights and in varying weather conditions

Compensation:

  • Pay will be determined basedon experience and licensure
