The successful candidate will hold a BC teaching certificate, have recent administrative or teaching leadership experience, and commit to ongoing professional development within a large urban district that serves 27,000 students and multiple

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supervision of Instruction, Program & Curriculum Development or Administration or a related field.
  • Hold a valid B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate.
  • Recent, successful administrator or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Management: supervise staff, oversee operations, ensure compliance with BC Education policies.
  • Educational Leadership: contribute to district leadership team and articulate school goals.
  • Instructional Leadership: monitor student progress and improve instructional practices.
  • Student and Staff Support: guide students, staff and parents, foster inclusive culture.
  • Community Engagement: liaise with parents and community, promote positive relationships.
  • Cultural leadership: advance equity, Indigenous perspectives, and reconciliation in school goals.
  • Professional Development: support ongoing learning and equity initiatives.
