Job summary

Coquitlam School District No. 43 is seeking capable leaders for Principal and Vice Principal roles across elementary, middle, and secondary levels.

The positions report to the Superintendent and are based in the Coquitlam area near Vancouver, serving a diverse student population with a strong commitment to inclusive education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate instructional leadership, strong collaboration with staff and communities, and experience in curriculum, assessment, and budgeting

Qualifications

• Five+ years of teaching and/or administrative experience.
• Master’s degree required for Principal; enrollment or Master’s degree for Vice Principal.
• BCTRB certification or eligibility.
• Commitment to public education and leadership in a unionized setting.
• Experience with diverse learners and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and supervision of school programs.
• Support learning outcomes, curriculum, and assessment strategies.
• Develop professional development opportunities for staff.
• Assist in staff placement and budgetary processes.
