Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors – Greater Victoria is seeking an Elementary Teacher to join our team in Victoria, BC. You will deliver one-on-one tutoring to Kindergarten through Grade 7 students, focusing on literacy, numeracy and core subjects, in-home or online.

You will have a Bachelor of Education with Elementary focus and BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility), plus strong communication and organizational skills to tailor instruction to each learner and build confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education with a focus on Elementary Education.
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification.
• Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students.
• Strong understanding of the BC elementary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, encouraging, and student-centred approach to teaching.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for in-home tutoring.
• The ability to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-on-one tutoring sessions for elementary students.

About The Role
