Prep Academy Tutors – Greater Victoria is seeking an exceptional Elementary Teacher to join our growing team in Victoria, BC. We deliver personalized, one-on-one tutoring in students' homes and online, supporting elementary learners in developing foundational skills, confidence, and a love of learning.

As an Elementary Teacher, you will work one-on-one with students from Kindergarten through Grade 7, providing individualized academic support in literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education with a focus on Elementary Education.
• A valid BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification).
• Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students.
• A strong understanding of the BC elementary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, encouraging, and student-centred approach to teaching.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for in-home tutoring.
• The ability to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-on-one tutoring sessions for elementary students.
• Support students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other elementary subjects.
• Develop personalized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals.
• Build foundational academic skills while increasing student confidence and independence.

About The Role
