Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking teachers or teacher candidates who can meet BC curriculum standards to provide private in-home tutoring. You will tailor sessions to individual students, delivering remedial and enrichment support.

You will assign supplemental work, monitor progress, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work independently while upholding high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Hold BC College of Teachers registration or be eligible to teach in BC.
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Education or equivalent credential.
• Experience teaching or lecturing at a Canadian university/college is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide private in-home tutoring aligned with the BC curriculum.

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You hold a registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Teachers
• You are qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of British Columbia
• You are qualified to teach in the United States
• You are a current teacher candidate; pursuing a bachelor of education
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College
