The Vancouver Board of Education (VSB) welcomes applications for the position of:

Continuing Elementary Priority TTOC

Full-Timewith Benefits (1.0 FTE)

Work Schedule : Guaranteed Full-Time work from September to June. As these positions are full-time continuing contracts with benefits applicants must be available to work every day.

Assignment: Placed where there is a need to fill in a long-term assignment (ie.medical/parental leaves, continuing vacancies). We strive to place a priority TTOC in a position that best meets their qualifications.

Duties: Responsibilities are equivalent to a Full-Time Contract Teacher

Employment Includes:

  • Paid Medical and Dental
  • Paid holidays from September 1st to June 30th, including Spring and Winter Breaks
  • Teacher Pension Plan
  • Portability of seniority and sick days if transferring from a BC Public School
  • Ability to apply to and be shortlisted for internal Continuing Contracts as this position places the successful candidate in a higher category status over a day-to-day TTOC

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Education
  • Recent contract teaching experience and/or student teaching experienceis required
  • Membership in or eligible to become a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)
