Who We Are
The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Our schools are located throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, near the best sites and attractions that Vancouver and British Columbia have to offer. Our footprint extends over 250 kilometers from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east.

At
Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Elementary, we strive to provide students with a positive learning environment in the light of the Catholic Faith. The principal, teachers, and staff endeavor to develop in the school a genuine Christian community with each member participating in an active manner for the common good of the whole community. Thus, our students are able to have a true experience of community life along with the individual development of academic and physical skills. We aim to join the children on their journey of growth, change and development as individuals, through their discovery of self and their relationship with others.
OLPH is in the beautiful city of
Vancouver, only a short commute to the downtown core and near some of the city's best beaches, parks, restaurants, and shops. Popular attractions include Gastown, Olympic Village, Granville Island, Yaletown, Kitsilano Beach, and English Bay.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Vancouver is seeking a full-time teacher at the primary level. We are a double-streamed school, which affords the opportunity to work closely with a partner teacher at the same grade level, collaborating to plan, share ideas and support each other in the creation of a stimulating and positive learning environment in which students grow spiritually, academically and emotionally. As a Catholic school, we are looking for a candidate who lives and models the faith throughout each day and is eager to share that faith with the students. We are a dedicated team of educators who enjoy welcoming other passionate, committed team players to our busy school community. In addition to classroom teaching, the position requires participation in our extra-curricular program, which provides opportunities for the students in athletics and the arts; we offer many areas in which teachers can share their talents.
Candidates must have valid certification from the
BC Teacher Regulation Branch or have
pending TRB certification. We would welcome applications from both new and experienced teachers!

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
