Job summary

Crofton House School seeks an experienced Grade 3 teacher for a fixed-term maternity leave coverage in the Junior School.

You will join a collaborative teaching team supporting the growth and development of young girls, guided by a student-centered, inquiry-based approach. The role emphasizes teamwork with support staff and active participation in a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• BC Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification.
• Bachelor of Education plus Bachelor of Arts or equivalent.
• Experience teaching at the Primary level is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the social-emotional needs of Grade 3 girls in a homeroom setting.

• Work collaboratively with Grade 3 teaching team to support all learners.
• Provide personalized instruction and learning support for individual students.
• Enhance the experience for diverse learners.

Requirements/Qualifications

• B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification

• Previous experience teaching at the Primary level an asset
• Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women
• Collaborative and energetic with a passion for teaching

• Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, highly organized with attention to detail

Employment and Application Details

This role is scheduled to start late February/early March 2027.

Employees of Crofton House School receive competitive compensation and support for professional, educational and leadership development. Please note that applicants must be able to legally work in Canada and hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate. Applications will be reviewed as soon as they are received.

Compensation: $69,541-$123,242 depending on experience and education level.
