Job summary

Rocky View Schools is seeking a full-time EAL/PE teacher for Fireside School in the Town of Cochrane, Alberta. The role will serve elementary and middle school students and begin immediately through June 30, 2027.

The successful candidate will hold Alberta Teaching Certification or be eligible, provide references and a vulnerable sector check, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with RVS values.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• New/Recent Graduates: submit practicum report.
• External applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months.

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Elementary/Middle School EAL/PE teaching position starting immediately to June 30, 2027atFireside School.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements:

• Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certificationwith Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.

• New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter, please submit your final practicum report.
• External applicantsmust provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months
