Job summary

Oxford Learning Brampton Ebenezer is seeking a part-time French Teacher/Tutor to work with small groups in a fun and supportive environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic, with strong French and English skills.

Responsibilities include teaching up to three students, delivering lessons based on our methodology, and maintaining communication with students. The position requires evening availability and a commitment through the school year into summer.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both French and English, able to teach up to three students at a time.
• Experience teaching or tutoring French at Grade 9-12 level preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.

Job description

French Teacher / Tutor – Part Time

Location: Brampton, Ontario – Oxford Learning Brampton Ebenezer.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French speaker to teach small groups of up to three students in a supportive and engaging environment.

Hours are during after‑school and evenings (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) with occasional Saturdays (10:00 am – 3:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the school year and into summer is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at various levels in French.
• Deliver lessons in French following Oxford Learning methodology.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Participate in interactive coaching sessions and support student learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification, or a fourth‑year university student with tutoring experience.
• Strong spoken and written French and English proficiency.
• Experience teaching/tutoring French at Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level.
• Ability to multitask and work with up to three students simultaneously.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Schedule

• Evenings – Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm (alternating days).
• Occasional Saturday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
