Oxford Learning Brampton Ebenezer is seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for high school students, focusing on math and science. Lessons are pre‑planned, and trainees will be fully trained in the proprietary philosophy and methods.

Shifts occur after school and evenings (4:00pm–8:00pm) Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu, with a term‑end commitment in June and potential summer continuation. Applicants must reside near Brampton and be able to commute to the location.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Teaching certification is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Grades 9-12 math curriculum including advanced functions, algebra, trig, calculus and vectors.

Responsibilities

  • Teach up to 3 students at a time in-person and online.
  • Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Fill in post-lesson notes and daily student updates.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Oxford Learning Brampton Ebenezer is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for high school students for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutor‑teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours Mon/Wed and/or Tue/Thur (4:00pm - 8:00pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Candidates will be required to complete an English and Mathematics assessment, must be eligible to work in Canada, and will need to provide a clear police record check with vulnerable sector screening if selected for the position.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered

  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 1-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors.
Experience
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities (Position Details)

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Teaching online and in-person
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post‑lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
