A local learning center in Niagara Falls is seeking an enthusiastic Elementary English & French Teacher to provide part-time instruction in English and French to small groups. The role involves teaching up to three students with varying proficiencies, primarily after-school and Saturday mornings. Elementary English & French Teacher

Oxford Learning Niagara Falls is seeking enthusiastic teachers, tutors, or coaches to provide part‑time English and French instruction in a small‑group setting (maximum of three students per teacher). The role is in‑person and requires reliable, friendly, and fluent communication in both languages.

Position Details

Teachers‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and occasionally Saturdays (9:00 am – 12:00 pm). Commitment through the end of the school year is preferred and summer continuation is an advantage. This position is not online; candidates must be able to commute to the Niagara Falls location.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously at varying proficiency levels.
• Deliver lessons in English, French, or a combination of both.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

• Strong background in spoken and written French and English.
• Comfortable teaching students up to Grade 9 (Grade 12 preferred).
• Good knowledge of the current French core curriculum.
• Ability to multitask with up to three students.
• Vulnerable‑sector screening mandatory.
• Must reside in or near Niagara Falls to commute.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Fourth‑year university students with substantial tutoring experience.
• Teaching certification or credential (asset).
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring English and French.

Job Information

• Employment Type: Casual Part‑Time
• Salary: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
• Schedule: Evenings Monday‑Thursday, Saturday availability
