Oxford Learning Orleans is seeking a part-time English & French teacher/tutor to deliver engaging language instruction at our Ottawa centre.

In this in-person role, you will teach up to three students, follow pre-planned lessons, and provide post-lesson notes and student updates.

The position requires strong bilingual communication and knowledge of the Ontario K-12 curriculum, with a supportive, professional classroom presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Teaching certification is an asset.

Part‑time French & English Teacher/Tutor – Oxford Learning Orleans

Oxford Learning welcomes you to join our supplemental education team in a part‑time teaching position. This in‑person role is ideal for individuals who love working with students and delivering engaging language instruction.

Job Summary

Position is a part‑time, in‑person teacher‑tutor based at the Oxford Learning learning centre in Ottawa, Ontario.

Schedule & Compensation

• Summer: Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm–7:00 pm
• School year: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 pm–8:00 pm
• Additional Saturdays: 10:00 am–3:00 pm (as required)
• Remuneration: $18.50 per hour
• Relocation packages are not available.

Responsibilities

Education

• Knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at Kindergarten‑Grade 12 (or equivalent) level.
• Strong written and oral English and French communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work with multiple students simultaneously.

Additional Requirements

• Must live within a short commute of the Orleans area.
• Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
• Comprehensive training in proprietary philosophies will be provided.
