Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel, Canada, seeks an Electroplating Technician to perform chromium, zinc-nickel, and nickel plating processes. You will operate plating baths, monitor process parameters, and ensure parts meet specifications.

The role includes interpreting technical documents and maintaining QA records, with emphasis on safety and efficiency. The position offers a weekend night shift with competitive hourly wages, training progression, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• DEP or equivalent in surface treatment or aeronautical assembly.
• Minimum two years of aeronautics experience.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install and adjust the anode cage or anodes on the part.
• Perform electroplating operations using chemical plating or rinsing solution tanks.
• Monitor parameters (amperage, duration, etc.).
• Place the part in the embrittlement relief oven and program heating cycles.
• Resolve technical issues when necessary.
• Inspect parts to ensure specifications and take corrective actions.
• Organize work and plan tasks based on priorities.
• Consult technical documents and fill QA records as needed.
• Contribute to safety, quality, costs and on-time delivery improvements.
