Job summary

RTX is hiring a Process Technician - S-Nickel for Weekend Nights (Fri-Sun, 6:00 pm–6:00 am) onsite at Oakville, Canada. The role reports to the Plating & Processing Supervisor and focuses on S-Nickel plating, masking, and related processes.

The candidate will perform tank/chemistry maintenance, prep, masking, and support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safety and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher education in plating/processing is required.
  • 3–5 years of plating/processing experience or a Process Engineering degree.
  • Experience with measuring equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

  • S-Nickel plating and masking of aircraft components per customer specs.
  • Maintenance of tanks/chemistry and related tooling.
  • Adherence to PM schedule for tanks.
  • Prep, mask and lacquer as required.
  • Support S-Nickel plate applications and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Promote continuous improvement, 5S and standard work in the cell.
  • Coordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts.
  • Comply with safety and PPE requirements; use of PAPR.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician - S-Nickel who will be reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, Weekend Day Shift as the Process Technician - S-Nickel Plating, you will be responsible for maintaining demand for Production.

Work Shift: Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 pm - 6:00 am)

What You Will Do
  • S-Nickel plating and masking of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques.
  • Tank/chemistry, associated tooling maintenance.
  • Adherence to the PM schedule of tanks.
  • Prep, mask and lacquer as required.
  • Act as a cross functional team member and support S-Nickel plate applications as requested.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
  • Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts.
  • Observe and adhere to all safety and PPE job requirements.
  • Requires use of PAPR.
  • Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant plating/processing experience or Process Engineering degree.
  • Experience in measuring equipment and tools.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and work with various hand tools.
  • Experience in using calipers and elcometers.
  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
  • Strong understanding of WHMIS.
Salary

The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD - 81,003 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
