Job summary

Evertz Microsystems Limited in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking a hands-on Test Technician to join the Test Department. You will build and test our latest film, television, and telecommunications equipment, set up specialized test equipment, record results, and train team members in procedures.

This in-office role offers 40 hours per week, a salary range of CAD 42K–44K, and benefits including an employer-funded program and a casual work environment.

Qualifications

• Electronics / Computer Engineering Diploma is required.
• Experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting is an asset.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; familiarity with troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong manual dexterity and experience using test measuring tools.
• Ability to diagnose and fix root causes of equipment- or process-related failures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and time management skills.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and test the latest film, television, and telecom equipment using advanced components.
• Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose and analyze performance.
• Record and report test results.
• Provide training to team members on technical procedures and assemblies.
• Build, operate and update test jigs.
• Participate in delivering quality products on-time to customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair to the component level.
• Follow ECO and AS/400 documented procedures.
