We're a fast-growing space tech company with global impact and a collaborative local team. If you’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrive in a high-tech environment - join us in shaping the future of planetary sensing.

Role

Electronics Refurbishment Technician to inspect, test, clean, and repair Geode sensors returned from field operations. You’ll ensure all components meet strict quality and performance standards before they’re deployed again in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and refurbish returned Geode seismic sensors and supporting equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic components to board or component level.
  • Disassemble and reassemble units, maintaining proper environmental sealing (e.g., IP-rated enclosures).
  • Perform detailed visual inspections and functional quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, test results, and repair logs (digital and/or paper-based).
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely move equipment (training or recertification can be provided).
  • Contribute to ongoing 5S, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives in a lean manufacturing environment.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, repair, or production (5+ years preferred).
  • Proficient in electronic fault diagnosis using multimeters, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and schematics.
  • High attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Valid Ontario forklift licence (required, or willingness to obtain with company support).
  • Test and Tag experience or certification (highly regarded).
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • This is an on-site role located at Richmond Hill, ON (close to 404 and 16th Ave) and involves some physical handling of equipment.
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada; we are unable to offer sponsorship or relocation.
Nice to Have (but Not Essential)
  • Experience in aerospace, defence, telecommunications, or IoT manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, or other quality standards.
  • Basic knowledge of ESD-safe handling procedures.
  • We encourage applicants with military or defence backgrounds — especially those with experience in electronics, field servicing, or mission-critical environments. Your skills are highly transferable and valued here.
