Job summary

Dias Geophysical Limited in Saskatoon seeks a skilled Electronics Technician to join our geophysical MRO team. You will assist in assembling and testing PCB assemblies and instruments, and support development of new electronic systems for geophysical exploration and protection.

You will troubleshoot, document repairs, and collaborate with the team on improving instrumentation. The role requires reading schematics, hands-on testing, and a willingness to travel abroad to service and repair

Qualifications

  • Diploma or higher in electronics or related field.
  • Experience as an Electronics Technician.
  • Experience with electronics assembly (hand soldering and reflow SMPCBA) and through-hole.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel abroad to repair/troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electronic PCBs.
  • Assemble and test instruments (wiring, mechanical assembly).
  • Assist design and development of new electronic systems and geophysical instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic systems and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of repair and maintenance activities.

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our geophysical MRO team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly, testing, and repairing of prototype and production of geophysical instruments.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and test electronic PCBs
  • Assemble and test instruments (including wiring, mechanical assembly etc.)
  • Assist in the design and development of new electronic systems, instruments, and technologies for geophysical
  • research
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electronic systems and equipment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
Requirements
