Job summary

Aumintec Inc. in Richmond Hill, ON, seeks an Electronics Engineer to design and develop electronics boards that control TECs and robotic motors, and to measure temperatures while triggering alarms.

You will develop BSPs for PCBs, run simulations, produce technical reports, and drive continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of hands-on MCU/C/C++ experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronics design.
  • Strong debugging skills with multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.
  • Familiar with ARM Cortex M series firmware programming with C/C++.
  • Familiar with UART, I2C, SPI and other common communication protocols.
  • Experience with PCB design tools (Cadence OrCAD preferred).
  • Experience with STM32 microcontrollers is an asset.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate person as an Electronics Engineer to join our team. Are you passionate about biotechnology and engineering? Join Aumintec Inc. and contribute to our mission of advancing biotechnological solutions for researchers worldwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronics circuit board to control thermal electric coolers (TEC), and to control electrical motors to perform robotic actions.
  • Design and develop electronics circuit board to measure system parameters such as temperature, or to trigger alarms.
  • Develop board support packages (BSP) for different printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Conduct all system simulation and preventive testing to check the product reliability and quality.
  • Prepare technical reports and design descriptions for the design finished.

Salary: $50,000 – $90,000 per annum

Additional pay: Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement: French not required

Schedule:
– 8 hour shift
– Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:
Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3K1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years or more of hands-on experience is required.
  • Candidates must have strong learning skills.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience with microcontroller debugging using a multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.
  • Familiar with ARM Cortex M series firmware programming with C/C++.
  • Familiar with UART, I2C, SPI, and other common communication protocols.
  • Experience with PCB design tools, preferably Cadence OrCAD, is an asset.
