Job summary

Foliot Furniture is seeking an Electromechanic to diagnose, repair, and enhance CNC machinery across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems. You will perform preventive maintenance and collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and IT teams to ensure smooth production flow.

The ideal candidate has a DEP in Electromechanics, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong diagnostic skills with CNC and PLC fundamentals. Join a dynamic, safety-focused team in Saint-Jérôme.

Qualifications

• DEP in Electromechanics of Automated Systems
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience with wood-processing machinery is an asset
• Proficiency with diagnostic and maintenance tools for automated equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair CNC machinery across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.

• Design, modify, or improve machinery based on production needs.

We are currently looking for an Electromechanic to join our team. At Foliot, we love our machines, and we take pride in our equipment, which includes several new, highly automated systems. Your primary mission will be to use your expertise to identify, diagnose, and quickly resolve any irregularities or failures to keep our production running at its best.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and programming issues on CNC machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all CNC equipment to ensure optimal reliability.
• Design, modify, or improve machinery based on production needs.
• Maintain safe and efficient operation of machines and related equipment.
• Work closely with the fabrication, assembly, warehouse, and IT teams to support smooth production flow.
• Respond quickly to production requests and prioritize interventions based on urgency.
• React promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Perform any other maintenance-related tasks that support equipment performance and optimization.

Requirements

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Electromechanics of Automated Systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with wood-processing machinery (an asset).
• Proficiency with diagnostic and maintenance tools for automated equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
