Job summary

Coordinate Industries Ltd. seeks an Electro-Mechanical assembler in Oakville, Ontario to support daily assembly objectives and provide technical support per established procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of reading engineering drawings, installing cables, and performing high-quality soldering to IPC-WHA-620 standards. Team-oriented, meticulous, and able to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Technical school or higher with 5 years’ experience or equivalent.
• Soldering and wire harness assembly skills with stripping, crimping, splices, solder cups.
• Knowledge of IPC-WHA-620 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Ability to install cables, connectors, and electronic equipment.
• Strong teamwork, detail orientation and safe work practices.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Motivated, proactive, and capable of training others.
• Independent worker with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality management system policies per AS9100 standard.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and BOMs to assemble equipment.
• Install electrical parts using soldering equipment.
• Solder to IPC-WHA-620 Class 3 quality level.
• Verify dimensions with precision measuring instruments.
• Assist in evaluating incoming components for conformance.
• Participate in process improvements to maximize production output.
• Rework or repair assemblies per engineering changes.
• Maintain 5S and prevent ESD damage; ensure safe workplace.

Job description

Electro-Mechanical assembler supports daily assembly production objectives and provide technical support in accordance with established procedures. It’s also essential for an Electro-Mechanical assembler to be a critical thinker, analytical, problem solver and an organized person.

1- Training, Experience, Education and Skill Requirement

• Technical school in related field or minimum of grade 12 or equivalent education with 5 years’ experience demonstrating equivalent required knowledge and competencies
• Highly skilled in soldering and wire harness assembly including stripping, crimping, splices, solder cups, Etc…
• Knowledge of IPC-WHA-620 standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering Drawings, schematics, follow work instructions and work order specifications
• Ability to install cables, connectors, electronic equipment, thermal solutions and labels using hand, measuring tools and Soldering equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to work as a part of a team in a positive manner and multi task while keeping focus and attention to details
• Good written and verbal command of the English language
• Good computer skills and familiar with Microsoft office
• Highly motivated, proactive, and willingness to take on new challenges and tasks.
• Must be meticulous and able to work independently and safely.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools like soldering equipment, crimpers, wire strippers, torque drivers, bore gauge, caliper, etc.)

2- Job Related Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow quality management system policies and procedures as per AS9100 International Standard,
• Read, interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Install electrical and electronic parts using soldering equipment.
• Perform high quality of soldering meeting IPC-WHA-620 standard, Class 3
• Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Assist in adjusting and evaluation of incoming electromechanical components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
• Actively participate in process improvement to maximize manufacturing process and optimize production output
• Rework and/or repair assembled devices and products according to engineering specification changes
• Maintain work place free of FOD and prevent ESD damage by adhering to 5S principals, following applicable policies and complete training required
