ICE Western Sales is seeking a skilled Electrician lead hand to join our Electrical team in Alberta. You will provide technical guidance, ensure high-quality installations, and mentor apprentices while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial/industrial electrical work and a solid understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. Overtime may be required, with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in Alberta.
• Strong understanding of electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.
• Willingness to mentor and collaborate with others in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, repair, and test electrical circuits, controls, panels, and wiring systems per HVAC requirements.
• Provide hands-on guidance to electricians and production staff.
• Interpret and apply the Canadian Electrical Code to ensure safety and compliance.
• Mentor apprentices and promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Complete quality control documentation and installation reports timely and accurately.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime in production or field operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Electrician lead hand to join our Electrical team. This role plays a critical part in providing technical expertise, ensuring quality installations, and supporting the growth and mentorship of apprentices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical work, an understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, replacement, repair, and testing of electrical circuits, controls, panel boxes, and wiring systems, ensuring alignment with HVAC system requirements.
• Provide hands‑on guidance and technical support to electricians and production employees.
• Assist team members, address performance concerns, and promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Interpret and apply the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) to ensure all electrical work complies with current safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct quality installations per electrical and HVAC system design specifications, upholding best practices and internal standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, isolate faults, and carry out timely and accurate repairs to minimize downtime in production or field operations.
• Complete all required quality control documentation, installation reports, and compliance records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Mentor and support electrical apprentices, fostering a collaborative, team‑first work environment to enhance skill development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification required
• Previous lead hand experience.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in Alberta (HVAC experience is an asset)
• Strong understanding of electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work under pressure
• Flexibility to work overtime when required
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience installing rigid conduit is an asset
• Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment for service projects
• Willingness to mentor and collaborate with others in a team setting

Hours of Work

• Full‑time, 44 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 3:30pm and Fridays 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Occasional overtime available
