ICE Western Ltd. in Calgary seeks a Quality Inspector to join our Quality Control Team. The role focuses on ensuring our HVAC units meet the highest quality standards through visual inspection, blueprint interpretation, and collaboration with production to address defects.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will coach the Manufacturing Team on best practices during assembly and release processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of quality inspector experience.
• QA, Manufacturing Engineering-related qualification is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data entry/document review.
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, and attention to detail.
• Gas fitting/refrigeration familiarity is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Conduct visual inspections for defects and workmanship issues.
• Monitor production operations to ensure quality standards.
• Recommend process adjustments when deviations are found.
• Label non-conforming materials and assist with investigations.
• Ensure all quality deficiencies are resolved before release.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Quality Control Team. This role plays a critical part in ensure our units arrive to the customer with highest level of quality possible. The ideal candidate will bring manufacturing/assembly experience with a high level of quality expertise. Also, a strong focus on continuous improvement, production improvement through quality observations and coaching the Manufacturing Team on best practice through out the build process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Conduct visual inspections, looking for defects, cosmetic issues and workmanship problems
• Monitor production operations to ensure they meet quality standards
• Recommend adjustments to production processes when deviations are found
• Segregate and label non-conforming materials and assist with non-conformance investigations
• Ensure all Quality deficiencies have been completed before unit release

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of quality inspector experience
• A certificate or diploma in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, data entry and document review
• Strong skills in communication, coaching, organization and attention to detail
• Familiarity with gas fitting and refrigeration an asset
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Hours of work

Mon-Thurs 9am- 6:30 Friday 9am-5:30

44 hour week.
