Job summary

Cain & Associates seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician for a brand-new facility in Canada. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, with emphasis on equipment reliability and uptime.

You will work on installations, upgrades, and ongoing projects, collaborating with production and maintenance teams. A 442A or 309A certificate and 5+ years of experience are required, with travel and overtime possible.

Qualifications

• 442A/309A certification required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial or commercial electrical environment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with industrial control systems, motors, VFDs, and distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability.

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical docs.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their growing industrial operation, at their brand new facility! This position involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role will also involve assisting with equipment installations, facility upgrades, and new projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Install and maintain electrical distribution systems, control panels, motors, drives, and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Support equipment installations, facility expansions, upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and management teams to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime.
• Assist in mentoring apprentices and supporting other maintenance personnel.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
