Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician to support an industrial Potash Mine project. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on site for our client, delivering electrical installation and maintenance on a major mining operation.

The role requires reading drawings, pulling cables, wiring fixtures and controls, and testing circuits. Journeyperson or apprenticeship enrollment is required, along with a pre-access drug test; travel and camp-based

Qualifications

  • Experience on an industrial construction project.
  • Journeyperson ticket or apprenticeship registered.
  • Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Fall Protection and MEWP are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.
  • Pull cables and install cable tray.
  • Wire lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, and control panels.
  • Install electrical systems and related equipment.
  • Test circuits for integrity and safety.
  • Troubleshoot defective circuits and mentor apprentices.

We are seeking experienced Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician to support us on a industrial project. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the Potash Mine project for our client.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
  • Pulling cables and cable tray installation
  • Wire lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, control panels
  • Install electrical systems and other related electrical equipment
  • Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix defective circuits
  • Willing to act as a mentor to apprentice Electricians
Qualifications
  • Experience of working on a construction project in an industrial setting
  • Have a Journeyperson ticket or be registered in an apprenticeship from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Fall Protection and Mobile Elevated Work Platform is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • 14/7 rotation working 10 hours/day with possibility of additional OT
  • Day and Night Shift available
  • Travel/flight allowance for provided for non-local residents
  • Camp based accommodation
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
