Job summary

Northern Lakes College in High Level, Alberta, invites applications for a temporary part-time Instructor, Electrician. You will plan, prepare and deliver theory and lab instruction for apprenticeship and pre-employment programs.

The successful candidate will have a Journeyman Certificate, at least 3 years of experience, and a clean vulnerable sector check; a Class 5 license is required. The position reports to the Chairs of Trades & Resource Technology and runs within a 36.25 hour week

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students in a classroom and/or lab setting
• Foster and maintain a positive and effective learning environment
• Prepare teaching and learning materials
• Assist in the development of curriculum and other program materials, including tests, exams and final practical testing procedures
• Assess and evaluate students and record attendance
• Collaborate with industry, government, and community relations and assist with purchasing of materials
