The University of Lethbridge seeks a full-time Electrician to maintain and operate the campus electrical system, including life safety and emergency systems, across Lethbridge and Calgary.
The role requires self-reliance, teamwork, and extensive knowledge of electrical theory, code, and campus buildings, with after-hours standby duties. The team comprises five electricians forming a standby rotation to ensure 24/7 campus reliability.

This position maintains a safe, stable, and comfortable learning, living and working environment on campus. To accomplish this, requires the operation and maintenance of the entire electrical system on campus, including emergency and life safety systems. This position requires a high degree of self-reliance, team coordination, extensive knowledge base in practical electrical applications, theory, and code. Extensive knowledge of on-campus and off-campus buildings and the need to be comfortable in making autonomous technical decisions while on standby, that can potentially impact the campus electrical system, research, and life safety on a significant level under stressful or a time constrained period.
The electrical team is comprised of 5 electricians who form a rotation for regular and standby (after-hours) duties ensuring a response to issues all hours of the day.
