Facilities Management is responsible for the planning, development, engineering, construction, operation, maintenance, and stewardship of all the buildings, infrastructure, sites, and services within Western''s campus community. Under the direction of the Associate Director, Facilities Development & Engineering, the Electrical Infrastructure Specialist is a technical resource that helps Facilities Management (FM) support the campus community and ensure that the University of Western Ontario’s (Western) facilities are operating and supported appropriately. The role will work closely with Facilities Development & Engineering (FDE) and Facilities Operations as well as various internal and external parties, providing technical expertise on construction and renovation projects. The Electrical Infrastructure Specialist will support the Facility Condition Assessment Program and play a key role in planning deferred maintenance for all electrical systems on campus. The role is a key contributor to Western’s deferred maintenance and infrastructure upgrade management plan.
