Job description

Immiland Canada, in partnership with a thriving company in full expansion, is currently seeking to fill the position of Electrician.

If you have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various environments, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
• Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels
• Splice, join, and connect wires to fixtures and components to form circuits
• Test circuit continuity using test equipment to ensure system safety and compatibility after installation, replacement, or repair
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, replacing faulty components as needed
• Connect electrical power to audio/visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating/cooling systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance and keep detailed maintenance records

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school education
• Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program
• Minimum of two to three years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and tools
