Job description

Overview

REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. We have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. This position is located in MISSISSAUGA, CANADA.

Responsibilities

The Electrician role involves responding to electrical emergencies, installing and repairing electrical systems, testing and troubleshooting circuits, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, planning installations, coordinating with procurement, and logging work progress. The position also requires training employees, implementing 6S principles, assisting with inventory management, assembling and calibrating machinery, and contributing to team communication and ongoing maintenance efforts.

Qualifications

The candidate should have 3-5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience and hold a 442a Red Seal Certification or be a Level 3 Apprentice. Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical diagrams, and code specifications is essential, along with strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills. The role requires the ability to operate hand and power tools, accurately use voltmeters, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards (ESA, CSA, and TSSA).

Equal Opportunity

REAL ALLOY is an equal opportunity employer and supports diversity in the workplace. Qualified applications will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or disability. Our HR teams will reach out to the applicants who met the qualifications and most closely aligned with requirements of the positions.
