Responsibilities and Tasks

• Install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Install underground wiring and cables
• Design and construct single-phase and low voltage (30 to 750V) multi-phase services for various installations
• Splice, join, and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults
• Determine appropriate materials and methods for hazardous locations
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Install surface mount and overhead cables
• Install power generation, standby power, and power conditioning systems
• Ground and bond electrical equipment, including pools and hot tubs
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
