Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support quarry and plant electrical maintenance in Alberta. You will troubleshoot, install, upgrade, and repair electrical and control systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.

This is a unionized environment with transportation provided from Hinton to site; offers training, development, overtime, and long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification with strong industrial electrical capability.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex electrical and instrumentation issues.
• Working knowledge of motor controls, PLC systems, and industrial automation.

• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on quarry equipment and plant systems

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. Work may include time spent in an underground quarry environment with confined spaces, low-light conditions, uneven terrain, and the need to follow strict underground safety protocols.
