Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for our Delta, BC-area facility. The role focuses on maintenance, inspection, repair, and rapid response to electrical issues in a heavy industrial environment.

You will support continuous improvement initiatives and document all work and parts usage. Applicants must hold a Red Seal Industrial Electrician certificate and have deep knowledge of medium-voltage safety, schematics, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic skills to isolate and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and technical docs.
• Strong safety discipline, including LO/TO and arc flash protocols.
• Team-oriented communicator capable of working in a multidisciplinary maintenance group.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems in heavy manufacturing is preferred.

What You'll Be Doing

• Systems Maintenance : Perform comprehensive electrical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on complex plant equipment.
• Inspection & Repair : Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure maximum safety and operational efficiency.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and restore operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the maintenance team to support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical Documentation : Maintain precise records of work performed, system modifications, and parts inventory.

What Are We Looking For

• Certification: Must possess a valid Red Seal Industrial Electrician certificate.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and medium-voltage safety standards.
• Diagnostic Skills: Expert ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Schematic Proficiency: Highly skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Safety Excellence: Unwavering commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety.
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills with the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Cement Industry or heavy industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• This role operates primarily in heavy industrial environments.
• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
