Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Entails working with safety control systems, robotic cells, start-up, and troubleshooting machines.
- Conduct service and installations as needed on and off company facility.
- Strong knowledge troubleshooting and start-up of light curtains and e-stops circuit systems.
- Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time within North America; valid passport required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
- Network configuration, set-up, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of safety circuits, control systems and robotic cells.
Education And Experience
- Completion of a four- or five-year industrial electrician apprenticeship program or electrical technician program completion or working towards.
- A minimum of 3 years' work experience with live electrical components in an automation material handling industry.
Compensation
Ranges from $35 - $42 per hour.
