Job summary

International Submarine Engineering (ISE) is seeking anElectrical Technologist to join our Engineering team in Port Coquitlam, BC. The role involves building and testing electrical systems, and drafting technical specifications.

You will work with Senior Engineers through all project phases from concept to commissioning. Key tasks include wiring, panel assembly, PCB design, testing, documentation, and microcontroller firmware development.

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Altium Designer).

Responsibilities

Assemble and test control panels, interface trays, and junction boxes.
Troubleshoot sub-systems and integrated systems.
Assemble and test control computers and micro-controllers.
Assist in design and development of electrical systems, including motor control circuits and PCB design.
Select components and refine sub-systems.
Wire, test, and document procedures for manufacturing and configuring components for UUVs.
Create wiring diagrams, wiring harnesses, or cable drawings in CAD.
Design schematics and PCBs using Altium Designer.
Generate test plans, datasheets, system documentation, and user manuals.
Program microcontrollers and do firmware development.
