Job summary

Borea Construction is seeking an Electrical Coordinator to manage the collector system and/or substation work on our Québec construction sites. You will coordinate with the Superintendent, ensure quality, and facilitate permits, with travel to sites on rotation.

The role requires a diploma in electrical engineering or related field, at least one year of relevant experience, French and English proficiency, strong Excel skills, and high geographic mobility.

Qualifications

  • Hold a college diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar functions on large civil projects.
  • Experience with manifold substations or high-voltage installations is an asset.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French.
  • Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English to interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues at the national level.

Responsibilities

  • Consult the Superintendent of Electrical Works (collector system and/or substation).
  • Execute the quality plan through labour inspections.
  • Act as intermediary between contractor and subcontractor on electrical quality.
  • Identify quality problems and deviation points in overall quality and environment.
  • Commit to finding, recommending and providing solutions to problems.
  • Oversee resolutions and write non-conformance reports if necessary.
  • Support project members in implementing the quality plan.
  • Ensure validity and control of quality-related documents.
  • Conduct independent inspections per Enforcement Procedures and ITPs.
  • Ensure subcontractors’ quality inspections are performed.
  • Ensure materials are compliant.
  • Monitor equipment receipt and inventory.
  • Compile data and statistics related to work performed.
  • Identify issues and monitor corrective actions.
  • Produce end-of-project records with the Superintendent.
