Job summary

TRIUMF is seeking a Group Leader, Electrical Services to oversee the Electrical Services Group and ensure safe, reliable operation of the site’s electrical infrastructure and fire alarm systems. The role requires strong leadership of engineers, technologists, and electricians within a public, not‑for‑profit research environment.

You will set operational plans, manage budgets, drive regulatory compliance, and lead engineering activities for capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility with EGBC.
• 8–12 years of progressively responsible engineering experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish operational plans and objectives aligned with priorities.
• Provide engineering oversight and support for capital projects and upgrades.
• Manage budgets and resources for the Electrical Services Group.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, codes, standards, and TRIUMF policies.
• Lead, direct, and review the work of engineers, technologists, and electricians.
• Promote safety, continuous improvement, and professional excellence.
