Job summary

Western Integrated Electrical seeks an Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to lead industrial and commercial construction projects, manage budgets and timelines, and prepare cost estimates. Some projects may function as both PM and Estimator across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years in electrical PM and/or estimating within industrial/commercial sectors.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling and cost control.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Estimating software (Accubid) and MS Office; familiar with PM tools.
  • Certifications like PMP/CPM are assets but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans, drawings and specs to determine scope and material costs.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by gathering supplier and subcontractor data.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution phases.
  • Collaborate with engineers, field teams and clients for alignment and quality.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids for accuracy, competitiveness and compliance.
  • Perform field visits to verify conditions and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate cost data, budgets and project documentation.
  • Support pre-construction and bid processes and assist in negotiations.

Western Integrated Electrical builds, installs, maintains, and commissions electrical systems throughout locations across the lower mainland. We complete a variety of electrical installations which can be located at YVR, hospitals, industrial facilities, commercial buildings and in many local municipal facilities. We partner with our clients across the lower mainland to solve their most pressing challenges including design build projects and custom solutions. Distribution and lighting upgrades. Conveyor and machine installations.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join our dynamic and growing team. In this position, you’ll lead industrial and commercial construction projects through completion—managing budgets, timelines, and resources—while also preparing and reviewing cost estimates. For select projects, this role may serve as both Project Manager and Estimator, overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Analyze project plans, drawings, and technical specifications to determine scope, costs, and required materials.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by gathering and evaluating data from suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution phases.
  • Collaborate with engineers, field teams, and clients to ensure project alignment and quality results.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance.
  • Conduct field visits and site assessments to confirm project conditions and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of cost data, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and support the pre-construction and bid process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager and/or Estimator in industrial and commercial construction, manufacturing facilities, or similar sectors.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, scheduling, cost control, and industrial project workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in estimation software—Accubid and Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CPM, or CPE are an asset but not required.
