This role is suited to someone who can manage both the technical and project delivery sides of electrical building services. You will work closely with principals, internal design teams, architects, consultants, contractors, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

You will be responsible for managing design deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, reviewing technical documentation, supporting client communication, and ensuring projects stay aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

You should be comfortable working on multiple projects at once, making sound technical decisions, managing competing priorities, and keeping internal and external stakeholders informed. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced electrical building services professional who enjoys leadership, coordination, client interaction, and complex project delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will:
  • Lead or support the development of electrical engineering concepts, design briefs, and concept reports.
  • Manage electrical design work in relation to construction budgets, schedules, scope, and project requirements.
  • Prepare and review calculations, equipment selections, drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Coordinate electrical design documents with architects, interior designers, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and external consultants.
  • Assign and review work completed by designers and CAD/Revit technicians where required.
  • Interpret and apply relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements.
  • Review existing installations and assess their impact on design and project delivery.
  • Support or lead contract administration activities, including shop drawing reviews, site coordination, change notices, and construction-related queries.
  • Monitor project hours, fees, schedules, deliverables, and task completion.
  • Identify scope changes and support preparation of additional fee requests or contract amendments.
  • Respond to technical and financial project queries.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Organize and attend client meetings and deliver project presentations.
  • Support accounts receivable and project administration processes as required.
  • Promote strong quality control, documentation, and internal project delivery standards.
  • What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years of electrical building services project engineering experience.

  • Professional engineering credentials, or senior C.E.T. designation with equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, systems, methods, and standards.
  • Experience coordinating major building projects with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Working knowledge of relevant provincial building codes, electrical codes, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client and team relationships effectively.
  • Proven leadership ability and comfort working independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and technical priorities at the same time.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with sustainable building design.
  • Experience on complex institutional, healthcare, transit, government, or large-scale commercial projects.
