Job description

A busy ICI Electrical Contractor in the Mississauga area is looking to add an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of project management methodologies.

Requirements:

1. One of more of the following is required: 309A Red Seal, Masters Electrician or degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Proven experience in project management within the electrical industry.
3. Proficiency in using MS Office Products and MS Project applications.
4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
7. Familiarity with Accubid, Procore and Jonas software is a plus. This contractor is willing to train if needed.

Duties:

1. Lead and manage electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
2. Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
3. Implement project management methodologies such as the Critical Path Method or Lean Construction to enhance productivity.
4. Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay aligned with goals.
5. Conduct quality management assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
6. Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders, presenting updates on project milestones and challenges.
7. Control and monitor all financial aspects of the projects.
8. Facilitate meetings with team members to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.
