Job summary

Energy Network Services Inc. (ENS) seeks an Electrical Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and multiple departments in delivering efficient energy projects across Canada. You will maintain project deliverables, closeouts, and schedules while coordinating subcontractors and client communications.

Responsibilities include document control, budgeting support, and tender preparation. A degree in electrical or related fields plus strong communication and organizational skills are

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technologies, Interior Design or Applied Science from a University or College of recognized standing
  • Ability to evaluate assignments, determine procedures and implement solutions, schedule work to meet objectives, participate in short- and long-term planning
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Effective time management skills with the strong ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
  • Project Management experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate schedules with Project Managers and assist with project progress updates
  • Plan and manage sub-contractor work to align with targets
  • Maintain accurate project documents and records
  • Prepare reports and manage schedules and budgets for multiple projects
  • Respond to client emails and address project issues
  • Support administrative needs including incentives, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Identify issues proactively and follow up on actions required
  • Prepare contracts and tender documents for clients and vendors

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Electrical Project Coordinator reports directly to the Project Manager while supporting Managers in various departments. The Project Coordinator is responsible for submitting and maintaining project deliverables, closeouts, and various tracking function for their respective projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with Project Managers, coordinating schedules, communicating project progress, assisting with documents and processes
  • Schedule and maintain a plan for sub-contractor work to align with project targets
  • Maintain various documents and that the information is accurate and up to date
  • Complete reports, and control schedules and budgets of multiple projects
  • Respond to emails to address client’s concerns and project issues
  • Assume administrative responsibility for a wide range of program deliverables, including incentives, budget and scheduling needs
  • Proactively identify issues and follow- up on actions required
  • Prepare contract and tender documents for clients and vendors
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technologies, Interior Design or Applied Science from a University or College of recognized standing
  • Capability of assuming responsibility and exercising independent judgement
  • Ability to evaluate assignments, determine procedures and implement solutions, schedule work to meet objectives, participate in short- and long-term planning
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and interact with staff at various levels of the organization
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Effective time management skills with the strong ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
  • Self motivated and demonstrate initiative to excel
  • Project Management experience is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects of various scope, size and complexity
  • Lighting knowledge is an asset
