Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is expanding its Hydropower team in Ontario, based in Toronto (West Mall) with a hybrid work model and occasional travel to project sites. You will design and deliver BoP electrical systems, and support from conceptual design through construction and commissioning within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a university degree in electrical engineering, P.Eng. designation, and 7–15 years of experience in electrical design for power generation or industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering and P.Eng. designation.
• 7–15 years experience in electrical design within power generation/utility/industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of North American codes: CSA, IEEE, ANSI; strong communication in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed designs for BoP electrical systems including MV/HV, station service, grounding, and cabling.
• Perform protection coordination, short circuit, load flow, grounding, and arc flash studies with ETAP or equivalent.
• Develop specifications and design packages for MV switchgear, GCBs, LV equipment, transformers, IPB, and HV AIS/GIS systems.
• Prepare drawings and documentation: single line diagrams, relays/metering, wiring, BOMs, cable schedules.
