Our Natural Gas Division seeks an experienced engineer to help transform the utility industry. You will deliver pipeline and facility projects to build a resilient, sustainable, and affordable natural gas system.

In this role, you will perform engineering design, collaborate with consultants, and produce IFC deliverables for automation, monitoring, and control of natural gas facilities. This role requires technical expertise, leadership, and proactive project management.

Responsibilities :

  1. Design and execute automation, electrical, and instrumentation projects for natural gas facilities.
  2. Develop detailed engineering packages for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  3. Create wiring diagrams for electrical, electronics, and instrumentation systems.
  4. Design low voltage power distributions, including AC and DC systems.
  5. Interpret facility objectives and specifications to accomplish design.
  6. Prepare estimates and equipment specifications.
  7. Program PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs.
  8. Collaborate across disciplines to complete projects.
  9. Manage and guide consultants.
  10. Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety procedures.
  11. Apply Professional Engineering seal on IFC packages.
  12. Support troubleshooting for field instrumentation and electronics.
  13. Participate in project evaluations and proposals.
  14. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  15. May serve as a project manager or provide technical guidance.

Qualifications :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  2. Membership as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  3. 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  4. Experience with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, electronics, and power systems.
  5. Programming experience with automation systems.
  6. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and codes.
  7. Assets include experience with hazardous locations and gas compressor controls.
  8. Teamwork, project planning, and decision-making skills.
