Right now, we are looking to hire an Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team, based out of our Edmonton branch.

AS OUR INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO:

1. Adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
2. Assist other Journeyman and Apprentices with the maintenance, replacement, and installation of equipment.
3. Assist with calibrations and installations requiring instrumentation tubing.
4. Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and specialty tools, such as tubing benders.
5. Administer more advanced calibration equipment such as Hart Communicators and programs.
6. Handle basic Instrumentation Test Equipment and complete calibrations.
7. Work with more advanced meter(s) checking for continuity, resistance, voltages & current readings.
8. Utilize more advanced systems such as compressor panels, RTUs, BMS, line heaters, and production facility equipment.
9. Be aware of Gas Detection, LEL Detection, and Fire Detection controllers and sensors.
10. Work on or around any ‘live’ process or equipment including isolation and the de-pressuring of any system while adhering to all safety procedures.
11. Repair equipment, with follow-up guidance from the Journeyman if required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman Instrumentation Technician.
2. A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
3. Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
4. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
5. Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
6. A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to employment.
